It adopts a special reagent which contains a combined catalyzer to speed up reaction and anti-jam to chloridion. Water sample reacts by adding Reagent C as well as Reagent E, which is the rapid oxidation-reduction reaction and produces trivalent chromic ion. The instrument will test its concentration in spectrophotography to get COD value.
